This is apparently the mindset of the hostage-taker police are negotiating with at Discovery Channel headquarters: "All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions." The suspect identified as James J. Lee, 43, wrote that diatribe on this site, which lays out his "demands" of the network, reports MSNBC.

Based on his writings, Lee didn't think the shows on Discovery did enough to expose the "filth" of civilization. His helpful suggestion: "A game show format contest would be in order." Lee is well-known around Discovery's headquarters in Silver Spring because of his protests in recent years, and he was once sentenced to 6 months of supervised probation for disorderly conduct.
