Genetics experts—as well as readers of this tidbit, we're guessing—are amazed at the recent case of a black British couple who gave birth to a white daughter bearing blue eyes and blonde hair. Nmachi was born to Nigerian ex-pats Benjamin and Angela Ihegboro, and is not an albino, say doctors. And while the genes for pale skin can skip generations, neither parent knows of any white ancestry in their families, reports the Daily Mail.
The shocked dad admits to exclaiming "What the flip? Is she mine?" after seeing his daughter, who joins two black siblings. He went on to say, "Of course she is mine. My wife is true to me. Even if she hadn't been, the baby wouldn't have looked like that!" Click here to see a photo of the family. (More genetics stories.)
