Internet hangout 4chan continues to seek revenge against Gawker for reporting on it, yesterday attacking not only the site but also Ryan Tate, the Gawker staffer who wrote the article, and Tate's wife. Users of 4chan's /b/ forum inundated Gawker's servers with traffic and spammed staffers' email accounts to punish the site for violating the /b/ forum's self-proclaimed rule that nobody, including the media, is allowed to talk about /b/ forum.
The hackers also barraged Tate with angry Facebook messages revealing information they'd gathered about him, sent his wife a porn video, and told her, via a Facebook message, that Tate had been carrying on a torrid affair, Gawker reports. Gawker earned the wrath of 4chan in part by linking /b/ forum users to attacks on 11-year-old YouTube star Jessi Slaughter and her family.
