For one London videographer, BP execs aren't feeling enough pain for the environmental destruction they've caused. He'd like to remind them with a little discomfort of their own—and what better way than a vuvuzela concert? That's what Adam Quirk has planned—he posted an open call for donations toward a $2,000 target, with $1,000 going to purchase 100 vuvuzelas and the rest to cleanup efforts. As of this evening, Quirk had exceeded the goal at Kickstarter.
"We'll hire 100 vuvuzela players off Craigslist to play in front of BP's International Headquarters in London for an entire work day. Ideally, the players will keep coming back every day until they fix the gusher," Quirk writes. "I know this isn't going to change anything, but it will draw attention back to BP after the inevitable 24hr news cycle finds some celebrity sex scandal to distract us with."
