Texas and Alabama will play for the BCS championship next month. The Longhorns survived a crazy finish and beat Nebraska 13-12 on a last-second field goal to make it to the title game. They almost didn't get a chance to kick when QB Colt McCoy mismanaged the clock and let time run out on the previous play. Nebraska began celebrating, but an official review put 1 second back on. Hunter Lawrence then drilled a 46-yarder for the win.
Earlier, the second-ranked Crimson Tide earned its first trip to the BCS final with a 32-13 victory against Tim Tebow and No. 1 Florida in the SEC championship. Alabama's strong defense prevented Tebow from winning his third national championship. "Obviously, I'm emotional, as you can see, after games," said a tearful Tebow, whose last game for the Gators figures to be in the Sugar Bowl. (More Alabama Crimson Tide stories.)
