Yale has withdrawn its offer to a student after an internal review prompted by the college admissions scandal. A university spokesman says the university has found the process to be tainted for that unnamed student and one other who was not offered a spot, the Yale Daily News reports. He says Yale has no reason to think other admissions were involved. The Wall Street Journal has reported that the father of Yale students tipped off investigators about the national scheme while he was being questioned in a securities fraud case. Court documents say an applicant was admitted to Yale in exchange for a $1.2 million payment, per the Daily News. She was admitted as a soccer recruit, though she hadn't played competitive soccer. (One remaining mystery in the scandal: Who paid $6.5 million to get their kid into a school?)
