Jenner will write her memoir with the help of Buzz Bissinger, the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who wrote Friday Night Lights in 1990—and who also wrote the Vanity Fair cover story in which "Cait" debuted. Bissinger says he's a "cross-dresser with a big-time fetish for women's leather," and that plus his openness about "certain aspects of gender fluidity" helped him to bond with Jenner. Jenner approached him about writing the memoir a few months after the Vanity Fair article came out, the New York Times reports. Bissinger tells the Times that though the book is Jenner's, he'll make sure to "keep her honest" by interviewing dozens of others. Per Grand Central Publishing, the book will follow Jenner "from Bruce to Caitlyn, and her brave transition into womanhood," the AP reports. It's due out in spring 2017. (More Caitlyn Jenner stories.)
