Nothing like meeting the leader of the free world to stimulate a little foot-in-mouth disease: During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel last night, Charlize Theron recounted her awkward encounter with President Obama during her last visit to the show. Theron says as the two chatted, he said he was appreciative to be able to reach a "younger demographic." Then were was a pause. "I didn't know what to say and all I could come up with was, 'Well if you're looking for a different demographic, I can take you to a strip club,'" Theron says.
Obama declined and was pretty nice about the whole thing. Even so, a mortified Theron says she couldn't sleep for weeks afterward because she was so embarrassed, reports Time. "I get so nervous that I just say something really inappropriate," she tells Kimmel, cursing the "verbal diarrhea" that comes out of her mouth. "Michelle Obama is going to kill me." Kimmel's response: "If you'd said that to President Clinton, you'd probably still be at that strip club." (Researchers explain why you find Obama attractive.)
