Andy Williams, who announced onstage at his Branson, Missouri, theater last year that he had bladder cancer, died yesterday at home in Branson. Williams, 84, had been in show business for 75 years; it was his iconic rendition of "Moon River" in the early 1960s that propelled him to stardom. The Andy Williams Show followed in 1962, staying on the air until 1971 and returning each year for a Christmas special. In 1963, the variety show first introduced the Osmond Brothers to America, People reports. Williams, who accumulated 17 gold and three platinum records, is survived by wife Debbie and three children.
