At the Toronto Film Festival this weekend, Nick Cassavetes found himself having to defend a scene in his new movie, Yellow, in which a brother and sister are shown to be in love. But he's not apologetic, he reveals in an interview with The Wrap. "We had heard a few stories where brothers and sisters were completely, absolutely in love with one another," says Cassavetes, who wrote and directed the film. "You know what? This whole movie is about judgment, and lack of it, and doing what you want. Who gives a shit if people judge you?"
"I’m not saying this is an absolute but in a way, if you’re not having kids—who gives a damn? Love who you want," he continues. "Isn’t that what we say? Gay marriage—love who you want?" Click for the complete interview. (More Nick Cassavetes stories.)
