Rielle Hunter still has feelings for John Edwards, she reveals in her soon-to-be-released memoir, and if his campaign finance trial ended with him in prison, she planned to move to be near him. "So if you went to jail, what kind of jail would it be? One of those country clubs?" she asked him in a phone call days before his indictment, she recalls in What Really Happened: John Edwards, Our Daughter and Me, which the AP obtained an advance copy of. "Yeah," he replied, "Probably Virginia." "So Quinn and I will move to Virginia," Hunter responded.
The book will be released June 26 by a boutique Dallas-based publisher; the AP notes that New York publishers showed no interest. The tell-all details Hunter's secret relationship with Edwards and its aftermath, including Elizabeth Edwards' angry reaction. In it, Hunter says Edwards "is a great dad" to daughter Frances Quinn "when he is with her," but that he can't spend much time with her due to his other family obligations. As for his romantic relationship with Hunter, she says she doesn't know how things will end up. (More John Edwards stories.)
