Never Mind! Phil Collins Not Retiring

If you were despondent to learn that you will never get the chance to watch Phil Collins perform “In the Air Tonight” live, cheer up! The British pop star “is not, has no intention of, retiring,” says his rep. Collins, of course, said in a recent interview that he wanted to “write myself out of the script entirely,” but apparently that does not mean actual retirement, E! reports. If you were hoping to see Collins perform that awesome drum sequence from “In the Air Tonight,” however, you will still be disappointed: In the same interview, he said nerve damage in his hands will likely prevent him from playing the drums again.
