A retired FBI agent says he’s so certain Amanda Knox is innocent, he’d stake his daughter’s life on it. “When Amanda Knox gets out, if she needs a roommate, I’ll send my daughter over,” ex-special agent Steve Moore tells Good Morning America. “The evidence is completely conclusive.” Moore, who spent 25 years in the FBI and has investigated murders around the world, looked into the Knox case on a bet with his wife.
Moore was trying to prove Knox’s guilt. But after reviewing the crime scene video, autopsy photos, and legal documents, he changed his mind. “I couldn't figure out why Amanda and Raffaele weren't eliminated on day one as suspects,” he says. He spent hours watching the crime scene video, and found loads of “unsound” forensic practices that wouldn’t fly in the US. He accused police of using “third-world” interrogation techniques on Knox. And he dismissed the prosecution’s flimsy DNA evidence. “There is no DNA evidence,” he contended. (More Amanda Knox stories.)
