If you're going to smoke a joint, you probably shouldn't do it while driving: 1) an ostentatious vehicle; 2) down the Las Vegas strip; 3) with open windows; 4) past a cop. All of the above would seem to explain Paris Hilton's latest legal woes, reports the AP. A Las Vegas police spokesman says the arresting officer "followed the vapor trail and the odor of marijuana to the Escalade" with Hilton and boyfriend Cy Waits inside.
Seeking privacy, Hilton asked to go inside the Wynn Hotel, where Waits manages a club. In this, however, "Miss Hilton pulled out a tube of lip balm," said the spokesman. "At the same time ... cocaine in a plastic bag came out of her purse." Hilton's lawyer isn't having any of it, reports People: "This matter will be dealt with in the courts, not in the media, and I encourage people not to rush to judgment until all of the facts have been dealt with in a court of law," he said in a statement.
