In tabloid pictures of Madonna’s children visiting her on-set, she appears to be a doting mother. In reality, her kids have to schedule 15-minute increments of quality time with her. Sources tell the Daily Mail Madonna is happy to help with homework, have a singing session, or cook with Mercy, David, Rocco, and Lourdes—but only if a PA has scheduled it into her diary (presumably alongside the two to three hours she exercises each day).

Of course, the kids have a standing date with their famous mother on Fridays for Kabbalah meetings, but apparently they don’t do a lot of bonding—Madonna spends most of the time simply concentrating. The Mail goes on to recount what it sees as the sad irony of Madonna’s past—she admitted to having “several” abortions before deciding, at an older age when it was difficult to conceive, to become a mother. One author alleges the real number of abortions is 11.
