Joe Scarborough and his Morning Joe show on MSNBC get a whole lot of love in a flattering new profile in GQ. "He's the conservative liberals suddenly think is swell," writes Lisa Depaulo, and his show has "become the best and most buzzed-about political show on television." The no-screaming policy helps, as does the "sexual energy" with co-host Mika Brzezinski, she writes.
Scarborough, meanwhile, describes himself as the "most conservative guy at a liberal TV network," even if critics like Rush Limbaugh think he's gone soft. "You know, I used to be most proud of the fact that I got elected to Congress at 31. ... But I actually think, at this point, that I'm more proud of the fact that I have survived at MSNBC. For seven years. It has been a tough ride. There were several people that ran this company, as one booker once told me, who would have put handcuffs on me and escorted me out of the front doors, if they had their way." (More MSNBC stories.)
