Jersey Shore Boardwalk Game Targets Obama

A boardwalk game that allows visitors to hurl baseballs at a likeness of President Obama is causing controversy in the town where Jersey Shore is filmed. Some say the game—a variation on the age-old "break-a-plate" game—is disrespectful, and the crude likeness of Obama is offensive, while others say it's just a game. "We don't have a bull's-eye on anyone's head or chest," creator Tom Whalen tells AP, stressing that the object is to hit the plate in the figure's hand.

The Obama figure appears alongside other well-known figures, including Saddam Hussein and former Mets pitcher Pedro Martinez. The concession covered Obama's head with a bag yesterday as the media descended, but Whalen says more figures will soon be appearing, including Sarah Palin, Hillary Clinton, George W.
