Authorities have discovered the remains of a man, woman and child in a Panamanian hostel owned by white supremacist and suspected serial killer William "Wild Bill" Holbert. That makes five bodies found, though Holbert has confessed to killing seven people, including another young couple and their son, reports the Guardian. The victims, most of them American, were murdered so Holbert and partner Laura Reese could steal their money, businesses and real estate, police believe.
"He has explained what he did, how he did it and why he did it," said a Panamanian prosecutor following Holbert and Reese's arrest last week. Holbert fled North Carolina six years ago after selling a home he didn't own, according to authorities. He and Reese fled this time to Nicaragua, where authorities returned them to Panama. He refused to talk to journalists after he was arrested, saying he will only speak to Panamanian authorities, reports AP. "The people in Panama are very friendly and I like living here," he said.
