Worries Over Leaks Mean Another Day of Tests

Worries over "anomalies" and seeping oil near the site of the Gulf spill have led authorities to order another day of testing on the cap over the damaged BP well, CNN reports. "There is no indication at this time this is any indication of a significant problem in the well bore, but we are running every one of these anomalies down," Adm. Thad Allen said this afternoon.

Pressure readings within the well are rising but are still below the levels engineers projected, methane and oil appear to be leaking from the cap in small quantities, and oil that's seeping from the floor of the Gulf may or may not be connected to the problematic well. The leaks are not stopping the equipment from performing correctly, Allen said.
