Bernie Kerik is about to embarrass his former pal and partner Rudy Giuliani again. Federal prosecutors say they will charge Kerik with with several felonies in connection with the same problems that sank his nomination for secretary of Homeland Security in 2004.
The former New York police commissioner faces charges of tax evasion and giving false information to the federal government, as well as conspiracy to commit wiretapping. Kerik declined last month to a plea deal, setting the stage for a trial that could draw attention to his close relationship with the GOP presidential frontrunner. (More Rudy Giuliani stories.)
