Righty Breitbart Offers $100K for Journalist Emails

Andrew Breitbart says he'll pay $100,000 to anyone who turns over the archives of Journolist, a now-defunct listserv for left-leaning reporters. Making the emails public will expose the "Democrat-Media complex," he writes on his conservative Big Journalism site. The listserv, with 400 members, hit the headlines last week when the leaked writings of Washington Post blogger Dave Weigel led to his resignation. (He's since rebounded with a job on MSNBC.)

"We want the list of journalists that comprised the 400 members of the 'JournoList' and we want the contents of the listserv. Why should Weigel be the only person exposed and humiliated?" writes Breitbart. The listserv's founder, Ezra Klein, thinks this is just silly. All kinds of such sites exist on the right and left so reporters can kvetch to one another, he notes at his Washington Post blog. "I hope Breitbart's got a lot of big bills lying around."
