Movie Awards clocked almost one profanity per minute

The censors were extremely busy during Sunday night's MTV Movie Awards—the pro-"traditional values" Culture and Media Institute clocked "at least 100 bleep-worthy words" in 122 minutes—and the network is very, very sorry. Sort of. "While we aired the live broadcast with a delay, we were unable to mute every word that some might find objectionable," the network says in a statement.

That doesn't really help parents in Australia, notes Hitfix, "where it aired at 4pm in the afternoon, prime time for MTV's teenage girl audience." Check out the video to get a taste of the (sometimes hilarious) naughty language.
