It costs plenty to plant a car bomb in Times Square, and Faisal Shahzad apparently drove from his Connecticut home to a Dunkin' Donuts on Long Island to pick up $4,000 in cash to help fund his plan, sources tell the New York Daily News. It's unclear who exactly paid him that money, but authorities believe the three men arrested in yesterday's raids were involved in the financing.

Authorities believe the attack cost $7,000 in all, with Shahzad's contact providing not just cash, but possibly cell phones and other considerations. “There is at least a basis to believe that one of the things that they did was to provide him with funds,” Eric Holder said. The owner of the Dunkin' Donuts, which has been closed for renovations for three weeks, says he hasn't gotten a call from the Feds. (More Faisal Shahzad stories.)
