Lawrence Taylor's attorney emphatically denied today that the football great raped a teenage girl. "Lawrence Taylor did not rape anyone," said Arthur Aidala at a news conference, reports Entertainment Tonight. In fact, Taylor "did not have sex with anyone. Period. Amen." The Hall of Famer pleaded not guilty to the rape charge, in which police allege that he had sex with a 16-year-old girl, described as both a runaway and a prostitute, in a hotel room, reports USA Today.

Police have charged a second man with unlawful imprisonment, reports AP. They allege he was the girl's pimp, who beat her and brought her to Taylor's hotel room against her will. Afterward, she texted her uncle, who informed the NYPD. The age of consent in New York is 17, and police say it doesn't matter whether Taylor knew the girl's real age.
