When asked if Osama bin Laden was in Tehran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad didn't exactly say no. “I heard Osama bin Laden is in Washington, DC,” the Iranian president told Good Morning America. “No, you didn't,” a distinctly annoyed George Stephanopoulos replied. “Yes, I did. He's there,” Ahmadinejad insisted. “Because he was a previous partner of Mr. Bush. … I think there's a high chance he's there.”
It was a generally combative interview. Among other points, Ahmadinejad said that Hillary Clinton was trying to bring “relations with Iran to the point of a clash,” but that Barack Obama was not. He said Iran would continue to push forward on its nuclear program—“you should not even doubt that”—even if it meant provoking a military strike from Israel. “We don't even count them,” he said. “The zionist regime is finished. They can’t even manage Gaza. They want to get into a conflict with Iran?” (More Hillary Clinton stories.)
