It’s every copy editor’s dream: Catching a typo…on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. CNN producer (and former copy editor) David Daniel happened to be walking by Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ new star on the Walk of Fame just four hours before the unveiling ceremony when he noticed her name was spelled “Julia Luis Dreyfus.” Though panic ensued, Louis-Dreyfus herself apparently found the whole incident hilarious.
Louis-Dreyfus, the first Seinfeld star to get a star, wanted the misspelling to stay. Instead, an obviously hurried and temporary “Louis-” was inserted for yesterday’s ceremony, and the “Luis” will be given to the actress as a souvenir.
