OJ Simpson must hand over his Rolex and sports memorabilia to help pay the millions he owes in the wrongful death settlement of his ex-wife, Nicole, and Ron Goldman, the Associated Press reported. A judge in California told Simpson today to pony up the watch, valued at up to $22,000, along with items he is alleged to have stolen from a Las Vegas hotel.
Those items—signed footballs and such—are now in the custody of Las Vegas police. If OJ gets them back, he must auction them off to reduce the $33.5 million he still owes in the 1995 settlement. He also must turn over any future royalties from a video game featuring him. OJ's attorney suggested that the watch was a fake and worth only $125. (More OJ Simpson stories.)
