Fallen football star Michael Vick's former fighting dogs will be taken into homes and employment, with just one to be euthanized, reports CNN. The former Atlanta Falcons player was found guilty of dog fighting charges and faces sentencing in December. Police have 49 dogs in custody from his operation, and have allowed experts to analyze the animals.

After the dogs’ behavior was studied, the experts recommended whether they were fit for training as police dogs, care by families, placement in a sanctuary or euthanasia. Only one dog "exhibited intense aggression to humans to the point where the evaluation could not safely be completed.” (More dogfighting stories.)
