10 Unretouched Celebrities

Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson both got attention recently by releasing unretouched photos, but they’re far from the first celebs to do so. The Daily Beast found eight more—check them out in the gallery:

• Kim Kardashian: The reality star wasn’t upset when Complex posted the wrong—un-Photoshopped—version of her picture, going so far as to repost it herself and later pose for an unretouched Life & Style cover.
• Sarah Palin: In perhaps one of the first instances when a magazine was scolded for not digitally manipulating an image, Newsweek sparked the ire of some conservative critics by allowing its Palin cover shot to show laugh lines and pores.

• French Marie Claire: After parliament proposed a bill requiring retouched images to be clearly marked, the magazine published an issue entirely free of digital manipulation—but still used old-school tricks like overexposure and soft lighting.
• Claudia Schiffer: The supermodel’s topless Tank cover was unairbrushed, but she still looked fantastic.
