Country Singer Who Shot Stranger Wants His Bullet Back

Last week we reported on country singer Billy Joe Shaver, who got off after shooting a man outside a roadside bar in Waco, Texas, when the jury believed his self defense claim. Now Billy Joe wants the bullet that is embedded in the back of the victim's neck back. And if you doubt this absurd demand, watch the video.

Outside the courthouse after his acquittal, Shaver made nice, saying, “I am very sorry about the incident. Hopefully things will work out where we become friends.” But at a gig later, he told a raucous crowd, “They asked me, 'What are you going to do about that boy you shot?' I said, 'I’m getting the damn bullet back.' Y'all think I’m joking. Walking around being famous with my bullet in him. Stealing all my press.” Read the full article in the Austin American-Statesman.
