Jesse James: Nazi Hat Was Gift From a Jew

The much maligned almost-former hubby of Sandra Bullock is insisting he's not a neo-Nazi, and that the Nazi officer's hat he sported in a photo was a gag gift from a Jewish pal. The photo, shot in 2004 when he was dating Bullock, also shows James giving the Nazi salute. It may have been in bad taste, his lawyer admits, but it doesn't make James an anti-Semite. In fact, James once lived on an Israeli kibbutz, the lawyer told CNN. The hat was given to him by his "Jewish godfather," said the attorney.
