President Obama came out with fightin' words today for Republicans threatening to repeal health care reform, reports USA Today. "Go for it!' said the president during a speech in Iowa. "If they want to have that fight, we can have it." Voters, he said, would never put the insurance companies "back in the driver seat. We've already been there—we're not going back!"

At one point, Obama had to deal with a heckler who yelled that the legislation should have had a public option, notes the Swamp blog at the Chicago Tribune. "That's not in it," said Obama. "Why not?" asked the heckler. "Because we couldn't get it through Congress, that's why,'' Obama said. "There's no need to shout, young man.'' (More President Obama stories.)
