"Why does Glenn Beck hate Jesus?" asked Time. Well, guess who has an answer? After catching all kinds of flak from the mag, the New York Times, and Christians for comparing "social justice" to Communism and Nazism, Beck clarified things last night. Or tried to: Sure, social justice "paints a picture of fairness. Many churches all over the country use this term as an outreach to the poor. Now who could possibly be against that? Well, if you've read the news lately apparently I am. I hate the poor, and I question Jesus, too."
"This is the truth: The term social justice has been completely perverted and hijacked by progressives. What a surprise. It doesn't simply mean 'help the poor' to them. It does to some people, and maybe your church." So use caution. "Be very careful when you see those words because you have to know who you're dealing with. Are you dealing with somebody who believes it's just coming from the heart, or are you dealing with a progressive?"
