Lady Gaga is fighting back in court against her former boyfriend/mentor/producer. She says Rob Fusari isn't getting any more of her money, arguing that their contract is void because he duped her into signing an unfair deal when she didn't know any better. State laws "protect employees from predatory and financially abusive practices," claims her counter lawsuit.
Their 2006 deal “was structured in such a way to mask its true purpose—to provide the defendants unlawful compensation for their services as unlicensed employment agents.” Fusari claims he made Gaga into who she is today, even inventing her name, and has sued for a 20% cut of her earnings. His lawyer tells Bloomberg that Gaga's suit is "ludicrous."
