In response to a couple who gardens wearing only thongs and gloves, a Colorado housing authority says it will draft new rules requiring that residents stay dressed when outside their homes. Robert and Catharine Pierce, who have a sign on their front door reading " This is a naturalist household, " are within the law, but other Boulder residents have complained about them for years.
Robert Pierce says Boulder Housing Partners will fail in its push to get them to cover up. "They're making a big mistake," he tells the Daily Camera. He argues that since because group contracts with the city, it can't enforce rules stricter than the city code. "If they receive a dollar of government money, they can't discriminate against us," Pierce said. "If they want a challenge, they'll get a challenge."
