For the six weeks following her son’s birth, Gisele Bündchen stayed cocooned safely in her apartment, waiting out Boston’s cold weather with her baby, her mother, husband Tom Brady, her dogs—and her old figure, which she regained almost instantaneously. “I think a lot of people get pregnant and decide they can turn into garbage disposals,” she tells Joan Juliet Buck. “I was mindful about what I ate, and I gained only 30 pounds.”
The supermodel also discusses the “amazing experience” of childbirth, her new line of natural beauty products, and her work with young women in the Vogue interview. Buck, in turn, fawns over Gisele—one of the magazine's favorite subjects—calling her, at one point, "as ethereal as Audrey Hepburn when she was Rima the bird girl in Green Mansions, as expressive as Julia Roberts in mid-grin, as unearthly as a Na'vi."
