Valerie Jarrett might be questioning the wisdom of "ask and you shall receive" after the Obama adviser asked small businesses on LinkedIn what steps they think "government should take to help American businesses spur job creation." What she got, the Business Insider reports, is "a long list of responses from protectionist business owners that want a handout." Some examples:
- Buy American: "Hey! I have an idea! Let's focus on the 'trades' and 'manufacturing,' and let's call it Made in America! Wow!"
- Gimme: "Give money directly to the US taxpayers. Then they will have money to spend...And I don't mean $500 taxable check in 6 months. I mean like $40,000/household now."
- Leave it to us: "Take the government imposed taxes and controls off of the American Entrepreneur. Our country will rise to the challenge if we are given the FREEDOM to do so!"
- Keep the money here: "Stop allowing foreigners to send American dollars that they earned in the US to so-called out-source countries." Also, "stop giving East Indian students special visas;" it's "disgusting!"
- Constructive criticism: "Impeach this Illegal Alien Muslim Marxist. Keep waking uip (sic) America. Where the Birth Certificate??????? Barry??????"
