The woman who falsely accused three Duke lacrosse players of rape in 2006 was charged with attempting to kill her boyfriend early this morning. Police say Crystal Gail Magnum, now 31, set fire to her boyfriend’s clothes in a bathtub during an argument at their apartment and threatened to stab him. When police arrived, she tried to start another fire, the News & Observer reports.

Neither the boyfriend, Milton Walker, nor any of Magnum’s three children were injured in the incident. A judge ordered Magnum held on $1 million bail, on charges including attempted first-degree murder, five counts of arson, simple assault, resisting arrest, and child endangerment.
