The portrait of Prince William gracing the cover of an upcoming issue of Hello! is unusual for its candidness—and for having been taken by a recovering drug addict. In a project to benefit Crisis, the homeless charity that helped Jeff Hubbard learn his craft, the prince also got behind the camera, shooting a portrait of Hubbard. The photos will be exhibited and auctioned off to benefit the charity.
William earned high marks from the crew at the shoot. "He is a very nice guy and incredibly natural and that put me at my ease,” Hubbard tells the Telegraph. His photography isn't half bad either, says a British portrait and fashion photographer at the shoot. "I’m sure this could be an alternative profession for him if he needs one."
