Former John Edwards aide Andrew Young and his wife, Cheri, have been found in contempt of court for not turning over a sex tape that shows Edwards and mistress Rielle Hunter. Hunter has sued for the return of the tape. The judge did not jail the Youngs, but demanded that the tape be produced by Wednesday. They say they will comply and hand it over to be held pending the resolution of Hunter’s suit.

Though compliant, the Youngs contend that the tape is not physically in Orange County, NC, which means Hunter’s restraining order does not apply. They also say they have no intention of releasing or showing the compromising footage. Further, the Youngs’ lawyer tells the News & Observer, they “didn't do anything improper in obtaining these items. Some were abandoned.” (More Andrew Young stories.)
