A famed Coney Island strongman was cut down by a minivan at the age of 104 yesterday as he returned home with his daily newspapers from a Brooklyn deli. Joe Rollino, known as "Kid Dundee" in his boardwalk heyday, "was a relic in the neighborhood," said a friend. "There's not a person here who doesn't know him. I'm sick to my stomach."

The Kid was just 5-foot-4 and 122 pounds in his prime, and once lifted 450 pounds with his teeth, according to the New York Daily News. He also became know on local boxing circuits for his ability to take a punch. "Fighters would hit me in the jaw, and I'd just look at them," he once said in an interview. "You couldn't knock me out." The driver of the minivan that struck Rollino was cited for having a defective horn.
