The NBA indefinitely suspended Gilbert Arenas today for bringing guns into the Washington Wizards' locker room. Commissioner David Stern said Arenas was "not currently fit to take the court," adding that his final punishment would likely be a "substantial suspension, perhaps worse," ESPN reports.

The move will cost Arenas $147,208 per game, but if the suspension lasts more than 12 games, Arenas can appeal through an independent arbitrator. All this stems from an incident in which Arenas reportedly laid out three guns on a chair in the team's locker room and told a teammate he was feuding with to pick one.
