Michelle Obama is still more popular than her husband, but America appears to have become more disenchanted with her as well. A recent Rasmussen Reports survey has the first lady’s approval at 55%, the lowest level since Barack Obama was sworn in almost a year ago, when Michelle polled at 67%. What’s more, the Los Angeles Times reports, she now has a record high unfavorable rating of 37%.

The first lady’s current favorable rating is down a whopping 7 points since last month's poll. And it gets worse: While 55% of respondents generally give her a thumbs up, only 31% regard her very favorably. The breakdown is predictably partisan. 85% of Dems approve of Obama as the first lady, with 43% of independents and 33% of Republicans sharing that opinion. Women approve more than men.
