(AP Photo/Richard Drew) Stocks closed mixed after the Fed announced it would keep interest rates low for an "extended period," disappointing investors who had hoped for a more optimistic outlook from the central bank, the Wall Street Journal reports. The Dow fell 11 points to close at 10,441. The Nasdaq added 6 points, settling at 2,207. The S&P 500 rose 1 point to close at 1,109.
