“OMG,” people “seriously” overused certain words and phrases this decade, and we are “over it.” Wendy Atterberry lists 25 that should be “voted off” immediately, on The Frisky:
- “That’s what she said.”
- “Getting anything ‘on,’ like ‘getting my drink on.’”
- Blended words including, but not limited to, “staycation,” “bromance,” “metrosexual,” “recessionista,” and “Brangelina.”
- Abbreviations. See “OMG,” “TMI,” and “WTF.”
- “‘Cougar’ to describe any attractive woman over the age of 35, who happens to be single, or any woman dating a man more than three years her junior.”
- “I just threw up a little in my mouth.”
- Social networking terms like “tweeted” and “friended” or “unfriended.”
