President Obama said he was angry about the "screw up" that allowed a couple to crash his state dinner two weeks ago. The president said he was "unhappy with everybody who was involved in the process" because "although I chafe at being in the bubble, I also want to make sure my family is safe. It won't happen again," the president vowed.
Obama was also upset about the media frenzy over the Tareg and Michaele Salahi gatecrashing. "This is a town where people can't just say, 'OK, that was a screw up, and let's fix it.' There has to be two weeks worth of cable chatter about it," the president told 60 Minutes. "I don't think that from a policy perspective, this was the most important thing or even the sixth most important thing that happened this week, although it got the most news."
