A fierce winter storm is expected to drop more than a foot of snow in parts of the Midwest and generally make life miserable for travelers all the way to New England. So far, the storm is blamed for 12 deaths, most of them traffic accidents, and hundreds of flights have been canceled at Chicago's O'Hare. The storm will have affected two-thirds of the country by the time it departs the coast of Maine tomorrow night, reports AP.
