After last year’s pedophile scare, the Postal Service has cracked down on adults who want to reply to kids’ letters to Santa—and AT&T is stepping in to keep the lines of communication open. Naughty and nice correspondents of all ages who want a speedy reply from jolly old St. Nicholas can always text him—his number is 1224, of course.

AT&T developed the new service, which replies at random to your—or your little one’s—urgent queries regarding the goodies you hope to find in your stocking. Santa’s vague responses should satisfy all but the pickiest correspondents, but AT&T says there is no limit to the number of times you can text the big guy in hopes of getting the answer you want.
