Cindy Crawford was the target of a bizarre extortion attempt involving a photo of her young daughter. Court documents say a German man threatened to go public with a photo of the 7-year-old girl that showed her bound to a chair and gagged. A Crawford rep says the photo was taken without Crawford's knowledge as a "prank" during a game of cops and robbers with a former nanny, reports TMZ.

The German man, Edis Kayalar, reportedly stole it from the nanny and sold it to Crawford's husband, Rande Gerber, for $1,000. He then claimed to have more copies and demanded more money. Eventually Kayalar insisted on $100,000 or he'd make it public. TMZ notes that it passed on an offer for the photo about 6 weeks ago.
