That was quick. The White House sent communications director Anita Dunn after Fox over the weekend, and now an old video has surfaced—much to the delight of Glenn Beck and others—in which she calls Mao one of her "favorite political philosophers." In a speech to high school students, Dunn draws laughs by lumping in Mao with another of her favorites, Mother Teresa.

Beck played it at length on his show, and it's now being picked up elsewhere. Michelle Malkin—"Who would joke about such a thing?"—says she doesn't buy the White House explanation that Dunn wasn't serious. Is there a Van Jones movement afoot? Mark Silva of the Chicago Tribune predicts Dunn will survive this "latest Becking," adding, "It would appear to be the White House's turn."
